Much love and congratulations to Jamie Foxx for making history and becoming only the third African American man to win the Best Leading Actor Category for his role as Ray Charles! Much props to Leonardo though who still did a fine job as Howard Hughes, also giving the performance of his career.
A big F**k you! to the Jews, er - I mean the Academy for snubbing The Passion of the Christ in nomination, not awarding it in any of the few minor catagories it did get nominated for, and yet closing the awards ceremony by playing a rendition of its score as a "fuck you" to Mel Gibson. That shit was uncalled for!
A big F**k you! to the Academy for allowing Beyonce Knowles to highjack the event by performing no less than FOUR songs from films she has NO connection to, simply to exploit Oscar to continue the hyperbole that is her media career of over-exposure!
A big F**k you! to the Academy for snubbing probably the world's finest living Director yet again - Martin Scorsese. This man has made classic upon classic for decades and still, like Hitchcock seems unlikely to take home the Oscar for Best Director. I'll suppose they'll give him some lifetime achievement award soon enough, but its hardly recompense, I mean was it REALLY necessary to give Clint Best Director again??!! I mean, come on!...
And finally, Million Dollar Baby beating The Aviator for Best Picture?.......WTF??!!!
