SHODDY PSP DESIGN: Plastic presses-in on my flimsy UMD making PSP unable to read/load game!!

Following a week of frantic gaming (namely Metal Gear Ac!d and Ridge Racers) on my PSP, I have noticed a rather shocking design flaw.

This became noticeable when I inserted my Luminies UMD and the damn PSP could not load it, could not read it and just hung on the 'home' screen frozen.
I tried again and again, even blowing air and gently wiping the exposed part of the disc - but to no avail.
I then discovered that the transparent plastic window that displays the front of the UMD disc was pressed-in, not only that, but it was now loose (a fresh UMD's plastic cannot protrude). I Had to pop the plastic forward via the back of the UMD (With my finger) to even it out again. I put the UMD into the PSP and (Halleluiah!) the game worked once again.
However whenever I put the UMD back into my carry case and take it out again, I find the plastic has pressed in once more. So I have to constantly fiddle with the plastic on the UMD before a gaming session just to get the bloody thing to work, as if the plastic window is at all pressed-in then it makes the disk unable to spin freely inside the PSP.

THIS SHODDY DESIGN IS SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE SONY!

What's worse is that my Ridge Racers UMD is starting to do the same thing, and im sure (over time) Metal Gear will follow. And yes, I have ALWAYS held the UMD by its edges or top area of plastic.
Between this and the 'Square Button' debacle, Sony's inexperience within the handheld gaming market is really beginning to show. I am disgusted with this flaw simply because games, particularly handheld games should be sturdy and durable. When you are on a long-haul trip, the last thing you want your portable entertainment to be is fragile.
YOU NEED TO REDESIGN THE UMD PRONTO SONY, WHY NOT MAKE IT ONE SOLID PIECE OF PLASTIC WITH THE DECAL ON THE OUTSIDE - THEN NONE OF US WILL HAVE ANY UNUSABLE / UNRELIABLE UMDS…. OR IS THAT THE IDEA??!!
